Privacy Policy

01 Who we are

VERIX is a social prediction exchange operated by BETWRK LLC ("VERIX", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the VERIX app or visit verixlab.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

VERIX is in its Founding Member Beta. All trading uses Trading Credits with no cash value, and we do not collect payment information.

02 Information you give us

• Account details: your email address, your password (held in protected form by our authentication provider — we never see it), and your username.
• Profile details: an optional display name, profile photo and bio.
• Creator details: if you are a Market Creator, your community name, category, bio, logo, banner image, website and any social media handles you add.
• Date of birth: when you sign up as a Trader we ask for your date of birth to confirm you are 18 or older. It is checked during sign-up and is not saved to your account.
• What you post and send: message board posts, replies and likes, direct messages, and — for Creators — the market questions you submit.
• Creator waitlist: if you join the waitlist on verixlab.com, your first name, email address and any social media handles you choose to share. We may add our own notes, such as an estimate of your audience size.

03 Information created as you use VERIX

• Trading activity: your trades, positions, balances, transactions, Beta Tester Commissions, Mimic pools and copied trades, and Free Play gifts you send or receive.
• Community activity: the communities you join, your leaderboard results, and the notifications we send you.
• Moderation records: if a Creator removes a post or reply that someone else wrote, we keep a record of the removal, including a copy of the removed content, who wrote it and who removed it.
• Usage events: when you open the app, and how far you get through onboarding.
• Crash reports: when the released app hits an error, we record technical details about the error and your device or browser, along with your account ID, so we can fix it. We do not record your screen or your sessions.
• Security information: our service providers may log information such as IP addresses and device details when you sign in, to keep accounts secure.

04 How we use information

• To run VERIX: create and secure your account, process trades, settle markets and keep balances accurate.
• To power communities: show your profile, posts and results to other users, and deliver messages and notifications.
• To review markets: check that a Creator's market can be settled from a real data source before it is published.
• To keep VERIX fair and safe: prevent abuse, fraud and manipulation, and enforce our Beta Terms.
• To communicate with you: send account emails such as your welcome email, and contact Creators on our waitlist.
• To fix and improve VERIX: understand crashes and how people use the app.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

05 What other people can see

• Other users can see your username, display name, profile photo and bio, and a Creator's community profile.
• Posts and replies on a community message board are visible to that community.
• Your trades on markets other users can access, your track record and your leaderboard results can be seen by other signed-in users.
• Direct messages are visible to the people in the conversation. VERIX can access them where needed to operate the service or enforce our Beta Terms.
• Profile photos, community logos and banner images are stored at web addresses that anyone with the address can open.

06 Service providers

We share information with companies that help us run VERIX, only as needed for the service each one provides:

• Supabase — database, authentication and file storage, where your account and activity are kept.
• Sentry — crash reporting.
• Resend — delivery of the emails we send you.
• Anthropic — its AI model reviews the market questions Creators submit. We send the question, its category and any resolution details the Creator provides. We do not send the Creator's account details.

To create and settle markets we also fetch public data from ESPN, The Odds API, the National Weather Service, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Federal Election Commission and the Federal Register. We do not send them your personal information.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights, safety or property of VERIX or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business.

07 Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information while your account is active.

You can deactivate your account from your account settings in the app. Deactivation signs you out everywhere, blocks further sign-in, removes your display name, profile photo and bio, and replaces your username with an anonymous one. Your email address, trades, posts, messages and moderation records are kept, so that settled markets, balances and community history stay accurate.

To ask us to delete more of your information, or to be removed from the Creator waitlist, email info@verixlab.com. We will respond to your request, though we may keep some information where we need it for security, to meet legal obligations or to resolve disputes.

You can update your profile details at any time in the app.

08 Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls on our database. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

09 Age requirement

VERIX is only for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, email info@verixlab.com and we will remove it.

10 Where information is processed

VERIX is operated from the United States. Our service providers may store and process information in the United States and in other countries.

11 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
